Emre Subaşı is a partner at Günay & Erdoğan, with expertise in capital markets, public offerings, finance law and venture capital. Following five years at the Capital Markets Board (CMB), where he served in the Legal Affairs and Corporate Finance Departments, he joined the founding team of the Turkish Mercantile Exchange (“TÜRİB”), Türkiye’s first and only national electronic commodity exchange, where he served as chief legal counsel for approximately three years.
He subsequently headed the venture capital (VC) department at one of Istanbul’s leading law firms. At Günay & Erdoğan, he advises clients principally on start-up structuring and the conduct of investment processes, on regulatory compliance for crypto-asset platforms, and on acquisitions, corporate law and capital markets law.
Having also served as European Regional Director of a company operating in the biotechnology and information technology sector, Mr Subaşı brings wide-ranging experience of legal structuring and advisory work on both domestic and international investment processes, for a broad group of stakeholders ranging from institutional investors to angel investors.
